Princess Kate plays piano at Eurovision

Princess Catherine made a surprise appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest.

She played piano and accompanied Ukraine's 2022 champions Kalush Orchestra.

Her performance was recorded in the drawing room of Windsor Castle.

The event is being held in Liverpool as Ukraine is unable to stage it due to the conflict with Russia.

Catherine is an accomplished piano player and previously performed with pop star Tom Walker.

British musical stars, including Sam Ryder and Andrew Lloyd Webber, were also featured in pre-recorded clips.

Rita Ora performed during the semi-final and highlighted Britain's role in sheltering Ukrainian refugees.

The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a message on Twitter about Catherine's performance.
