Its main objective is to promote milk production and make people aware of health.
At present, India occupies the top position in terms of milk production.
The credit for this goes to 'Operation Flood' i.e. White Revolution Dr. Verghese Kurien.
He started the White Revolution in the year 1970
The main objective of this revolution was to promote milk production.
For this, every possible help is given to the farmers.
Dr. Verghese Kurien remained the chairman of the National Dairy Development Board from 1965 to 1998.
During this, he tried to take milk to every corner of the country.
As a result of this revolution, India has become self-sufficient in terms of milk production.
